The main goal of the Worker Resource Center is to give workers a safe place from which they can seek work from local employers. Workers can also attend English as a Second Language classes given by volunteer instructors. Samaritan House is not an employment agency. We provide this safe environment free of charge to both the workers and employers.
If you would like to hire a worker, you can come to the office at the time you need a worker, 7 days a week. If you want to hire a person who has already worked with you, get in touch with us and give us their name. We can contact the worker on your behalf.
To ensure the safety of our clients, all volunteers and employees will be required to use appropriate PPE.

Hourly Rates
The minimum wage for any work negotiated through the center is $20/hr.
Higher minimum wages of $21+/hour apply for hard or skilled labor.
If the job is three hours or less, there will be a minimum fee of $60.
